I first watched this in high school, on the bus home from a long day of not giving a fuck about school or the people around me. I had no knowledge of Enron, of finances, of 401Ks; no concept of the magnitude of the impact a massive company like Enron has on people's livelihoods. That's not to say that I know anything now, but I have a slightly better grasp on how thoroughly people's lives can be destroyed by something like the crumbling of Enron. I know that this documentary is based on a book, which I have been trying (passively) to get my hands on for years, but rewatching this now makes me really want to read it. I'm fascinated by financial catastrophes, crimes, and operations, but I really don't have the head for it all which is why I have to wait for a book or movie or documentary to explain all the crazy shit to me after the fact. I demand to have this crazy shit explained to me. This doc did a good job summarizing it, but I can tell that there's so much more under the surface that had to be glossed over for the sake of runtime. GIVE ME THE DETAILS!!
